Freetown Man Pleads Guilty to 2017 Robberies
A Freetown man is going to jail for 3 1/2 to 4 years after pleading guilty to two counts of unarmed robbery.
Freetown Police say 39-year-old Joseph Stec of Assonet this week admitted to carrying out robberies at Grampa's Place Gas Station in Assonet Village, and at a supermarket in Fall River's North End.
The robberies took place in back-to-back days in February of 2017.
Police used surveillance video from the supermarket to identify the suspect.
Stec was arrested several days later.
