NEW BEDFORD — The New Bedford Police gang unit took crack cocaine off the street and made four arrests Saturday, following an investigation into a cocaine delivery service being operated out of 303 Collette Street, Apartment 1.

Police executed a search warrant at that location and seized 16 grams of crack cocaine, 23 pills, $484 in currency and packaging materials.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested the following individuals:

Rae'kwan Paris, 22, of that address, for possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, and possession of Class E substance (pills) with intent to distribute.

Nyel Paris-Villanueva, 20, of 598 Cottage Street, Apartment 3, New Bedford, for possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

Kevin Molina, 19, of 1069 County Street, Apartment 1E, New Bedford, for possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

Jake Ryan Bradshaw, 18, last known address of 31 Rochambeau Street, New Bedford, for possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

The arrests were made at about 7:37 p.m.

Third District Court Judge John Stapleton agreed Monday to the Bristol County District Attorney's request that Paris be held without bail, because he has a pending firearm charge that is scheduled for trial, and because he violated the terms of his probation on a prior assault and battery charge.

Stapleton set bail on the current charges at $2,500. The DA's office requested bail be set at $10,000, but Paris is being held without bail because of his previous charges.
