Four Arrested for Squatting in New Bedford Building

NEW BEDFORD — Four people are arrested for squatting in a New Bedford building.

New Bedford Police responded at about 2:30 a.m. Friday to a report that four people were sleeping on the sixth floor of Harbor View Towers, although they were not residents of the building.

Police say this has been a repeat issue at the location.

Police responded to the scene, and arrested 27-year-old Shelise Wright of 172 Adams Street in New Bedford; 18-year-old Joshua M. Luna-Agosto of 1959 Purchase Street, Apartment 210E in New Bedford; 27-year-old Dwayne Russell of 291 Belleville Avenue, Apartment 3 in New Bedford; and 31-year-old Philip Coleman of 194 Main Street in Springfield.

All four were charged with trespassing.
