Fight Leads to Arrest of New Bedford Man

NEW BEDFORD — A 47-year-old New Bedford man is arrested after engaging in a fight early Sunday morning.

New Bedford Police say they responded to a disturbance in the area of 110 County Street at 1:50 a.m. Sunday. According to police logs, the incident was reported at Tony's Bar and Grill, located at 118 County Street.

Upon arrival, police observed a fight in progress. They subsequently arrested 47-year-old Cesar Candido of 314 Rivet Street, Apartment 2, New Bedford, on charges of disorderly conduct and assault and battery.
