Our niece and nephew's son, Cal Green, can now add cinematographer to his resumé. He has teamed with Michael Pomeroy – writer, director, actor, stand-up comedian and star – for the film The Rest of Your Life, coming out November 11 on Apple TV.

"It's about a recent college graduate named Brian, who's moving to Columbus, Ohio, with his girlfriend because of a new job in corporate America, but at the very last minute, his girlfriend tells him she's moving to New York to attend medical school," Pomeroy said. "Brian has an existential crisis while at his boring job, and that's when he meets a free-wheeling co-worker named George."

"We've been pitching it as The Graduate meets I Love You, Man," he said.

In the movie, you'll notice some long takes.

"By design, we're holding – not cutting," Green said. "Instead, we're moving the camera between those different frames. It's powerful. I've always been inspired by the long takes of Emmanuel LeBesgue, the G.O.A.T. I think the audience will be cheering for Brian, no matter what decision he makes."

What's next for the group?

"We plan on raising funds for another feature film," Pomeroy said. "I'll direct, Call will be cinematographer, and Matt Hardy – actor, producer and editor – is in the mix. We're looking over three interesting scripts."

Even the budget ballooned, Pomeroy said, in large part because of the pandemic canceling nearly every comedy show around the country.

"We're hoping we can take all our learning lessons and also successes from The Rest of Your Life and really build off that," Pomeroy said.
