FALL RIVER — Fall River police say a man stabbed in the city on Sunday night is in "serious condition."

At around 7:57 p.m. on Sept. 26, police said officers responded to the 1100 block of Plymouth Avenue for a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a stab wound to his torso.

Paramedics with the city's fire department responded to the scene and took the victim to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police said that the man’s condition is serious.

Detectives with the Fall River Police Department's Major Crimes Division are actively investigating.
