FALL RIVER (WBSM) — Fall River Police arrested five people on narcotics and firearm charges and took a gun and drugs off the streets on Wednesday.

According to a police Facebook post, multiple search warrants were executed at 700 Second Street in the early-morning hours of January 8.

Police said the operation – a coordinated effort between the Patrol Bureau, the Major Case Division, the Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) and Emergency Services – was “part of an ongoing investigation stemming from a previously reported incident.”

Officers seized a Glock 42 .380-caliber handgun with ammunition and a large capacity feeding device, as well as what they called “a substantial quantity of illegal narcotics.”

Arrested were Ludugero Dias, 20; Ashly Teixeira, 26; Carlos Gomes, 31; and Dylan Santos, 20.

Police said the five faces charges including conspiracy to violate drug laws, trafficking in fentanyl over 10 grams, possession of a Class B substance, possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
