FALL RIVER — Fall River Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a purse snatching that occurred in the city.

According to police, on March 1 at approximately 4:53 p.m., an individual stole a purse from a 70-year-old woman as she was exiting the Seabra Supermarket located at 440 Stafford Road.

The suspect was last seen running west on Duncan Street from Stafford Road.

Police ask for anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to please contact Detective Luis Vertentes at (508) 324-2796, or leave an anonymous tip at (508) 672-8477.
