FALL RIVER — A violent fugitive on the Fall River Police Department’s Top Ten Most Wanted List has been apprehended by authorities.

Fall River Police say 22-year-old Luisceito Cruz-Dubois was spotted and taken into custody by detectives with the FRPD Major Crimes Division on Tuesday. Lead Detective Derek Beaulieu received a tip on the location of Cruz-Dubois’ location, leading to his arrest without incident.

It took detectives just one week to capture Cruz-Dubois, who was added to the Most Wanted List on August 20 along with 30-year-old Hector Maldonado Muniz, who remains at-large.

Cruz-Dubois was wanted on charges of Home Invasion, Firearm-Armed and Masked Robbery, Carrying a Firearm without a LTC in Public, Assault and Battery with a Hypodermic Needle, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Pistol Whip), Possession of a Class A Drug (Heroin), and Firearm Violation with 1 Prior Violent or Drug Offense.

He was known by Fall River Police to be in connection to a home invasion where he pistol-whipped and attacked the occupant of the home with a hypodermic needle on August 16.

Police placed additional charges on Cruz-Dubois for being in possession of 1.9 grams of suspected Crack & 54 MDMA pills – which totals 17.2 grams – at the time of his arrest. He’s also charged with two counts of Possession to Distribute a Class B Substance.
