Fall River Police Arrest Four Adults, 12-Year-Old Child on Drug Charges
FALL RIVER — Fall River Police arrested five people – including a 12-year-old boy – after raiding an apartment and seizing suspected fentanyl and crack cocaine.
On April 14, members of the Fall River Police Department Gang Unit and Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant at 404 Fifth Street, Apartment 1. According to police, the apartment was targeted as a location where gang-related individuals had been congregating.
Police say that when they arrived, officers saw several males flee the building and run in different directions. Officers located five of the males and detained them.
According to police, they searched the backyard area along the path where the individuals fled and discovered a large clear plastic bag of suspected fentanyl on top of a chain link fence, and they said it appeared it was thrown and got stuck there.
They say a search of the apartment and property turned up 14.1 grams of suspected fentanyl, two small corner bags of suspected crack cocaine, and $3,862 in cash.
The following individuals were arrested:
Jarad Anderson, 23, of Fall River is charged with trafficking in fentanyl over 10 grams, and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, subsequent offense.
Quanif Johnson, 23, of Fall River is charged with trafficking fentanyl over 10 grams; possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute; trespassing; and breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor.
Jayden Rios-Dejesus, 20, of Fall River is charged with trafficking fentanyl over 10 grams; possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, subsequent offense; trespassing; and breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor.
Mitchell Arruda, 30, or Fall River is charged with trafficking fentanyl over 10 grams, and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.
A 12-year-old male is charged with trafficking fentanyl over 10 grams, and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.
