Another animal on the SouthCoast needs our help.

Wet Nose Wednesday on Fun 107 has become the place where animals in need get a chance to shine in hopes of finding the perfect family. Thanks to the help of shelters in the area, we are able to share the stories of these loving animals.

This week, there is a love bug waiting at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River that can’t wait to go home for good.

Meet Rugger. Rugger is a four-year-old American pit bull terrier who just wants love and affection from anyone he sees. This good boy is an adult on paper but has the personality of a puppy.

He loves his plush toys, playing with tennis balls, and chewing on stuffed Kongs.

The shelter said Rugger is great on a leash, but he likes to tug when he smells or sees something enticing.

He also has a few tricks up his sleeve. He knows to sit, and how to give not one but both paws. Rugger is a lover boy, but he’ll need some help with crate and obedience training.

The shelter recommends his forever home to own their home, have some dog experience, have older children, and have no cats.

“He could go home with another dog, but we would need to do a meet to make sure it’s the right fit,” said Forever Paws.
