Fall River Man Arrested on Gun, Drug Charges
FALL RIVER — Authorities executed a search warrant on a Fall River address Thursday, arresting a man and seizing an AR-15, ammunition and drugs.
On December 3, members of the Fall River Police Gang Unit, Vice Unit, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Metro Boston FBI Gang Task Force, led by FRPD Detective Gregory Homen, executed a search warrant at 61 Bardsley Street in Fall River.
The target of the search warrant was 27-year-old Akie Headley.
A search of the apartment was conducted, and police say they located inside the apartment the following items: an AR-15; 1,332 rounds of assorted firearm ammunition; three plastic bags of marijuana totaling 1.8 ounces; 43 alprazolam pills; six 30-round high capacity AR-15 magazines; a laser bore sighter; and $843 in cash.
Headley, of that address, was charged with possession of ammunition without an FID card; nine counts of possession of a large-capacity firearm or feeding device; possession of a firearm without an FID card; possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance; and possession with intent to distribute a Class E substance.
