Winter break is officially here, and if the kids are already bouncing off the walls, Fall River has a delightfully messy solution.

The Fall River Carousel is hosting a fun, hands-on Slime Lab event on Wednesday, February 18, for something different and just plain cool to do during school vacation week.

Parents, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., your little scientists can step into the Slime Lab with resident slime specialist Dr. Connery for an experience that mixes science and plenty of gooey fun. Kids will pick ingredients, choose colors and textures, and craft their own custom slime creations to take home. It’s educational without feeling like school – always a win during vacation.

Fun Meets Fall River Nostalgia

Even better, it’s happening inside one of Fall River’s most nostalgic spots. The Fall River Carousel is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., making it easy to pair the slime session with a classic carousel ride before or after. Maybe it's just me, but there’s just something timeless about those painted horses and carousel music that keeps the nostalgia alive.

Let’s be honest, parents deserve a treat as well. Right inside, Gathering Grounds Café offers a cozy place to recharge with freshly brewed coffee, specialty drinks like red velvet lattes, cake pops, or a soothing hot tea while the kids enjoy the fun.

In a nutshell, if winter break boredom is starting to creep in, this is a simple way to shake things up with something messy, yet educational.
