Fall River Hit and Run Leaves Man in Critical Condition
FALL RIVER — A man has been hospitalized after a hit and run crash in Fall River early this morning.
According to police, the victim is in critical but stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital.
Police said the crash was reported at around 2 a.m. Tuesday on Bay Street at State Avenue.
On arrival, officers found the victim lying in the road suffering serious injuries.
Because police found the victim exactly on the line between the city of Fall River and the town of Tiverton, Rhode Island, detectives from both departments are conducting a joint investigation, according to Fall River police.
Fall River Police's Major Crimes division and Accident and Reconstruction unit are investigating along with detectives from the Tiverton Police Department.
No further details have been released as the incident remains under investigation.
