These are the stories you can't make up, and this one comes straight out of Fall River.

Fall River Police have confirmed that on Wednesday, September 1, they responded to a report that a naked man was tied up and running around the 12th hole of golf course at the Fall River Country Club.

The Fall River Country Club staff reported the man was able to untie himself just as the property manager approached him. He was chased by the staff – one of whom was wearing high heels, we were told – in an attempt to capture the naked man, but they were unable to do so.

The unclothed gentleman was able to escape into the woods and get away before he was caught, staff said.

Country club staff then contacted the Fall River Police Department to report the incident.

"Officers checked the area for the male and were unable to locate anyone," police spokesman Captain Barden H. Castro said. "There was observed damage to the green of the 12th hole."

According to the course manager, the suspect never asked for any help from the country club staff. The manager said that in addition to the damage to the green where the man was running around, the 12th hole flag was also snapped in half.

Captain Castro said police searched the area, but no one was found. He said that it was "believed it may have been a prank."

Needless to say, it was a very eventful and strange day on the green in Fall River. Anyone with information on the identity of the man or the incident should reach out to the Fall River Police Department.
