There are certain places that just hit different when you grow up with them, and for me, Faneek's Coney Island Hot Dogs in Fall River is one of those spots.

As a kid, it was one of my favorite traditions. My dad and I would make the trip, grab a couple of bean dogs or “all the way” classics, and wash it down with a cold coffee milk from Arruda's Dairy Farm. Simple, perfect, and honestly, some of my best memories.

Now, somehow, Faneek’s just took that nostalgia and cranked it all the way up.

A Flavor Combo Nobody Saw Coming

Faneek's Coney Island sauce is rich, savory, a little messy in the best way, and straight-up legendary around here.

Now imagine that on crispy chicken wings. Yeah, that’s happening.

Owner Liz Carpenter confirmed it’s not just a one-time experiment either. When I asked if they still had the wings or if I missed out on a weekly special, she laughed and said, “Ohhhhh we do! Added it to the menu the second I tried them!”

That alone should tell you everything you need to know.

Dangerously Delicious (With One Key Move)

Here’s the pro tip straight from Carpenter herself: “With a side of ranch they are devourable," she said.

"Devourable" is the perfect word.

You’ve got that crispy wing texture, the bold, meaty flavor of the Coney sauce, and then the cool hit of ranch to balance it out. It’s like Buffalo wings took a detour through Fall River and came back completely reimagined.

Full-Circle SouthCoast Comfort Food

What I love most about this isn’t just the flavor (although yeah, I need these immediately). It’s that good ol' fashioned nostalgic feeling.

The same place I used to sit with my dad, feet barely touching the floor, is now serving up something brand new that still somehow feels like home. That’s not easy to pull off.

Faneek’s didn’t just add a new menu item to its classic hot dog lineup. It created a mashup that bridges generations. From bean dogs and coffee milk, to Coney wings you didn’t know you needed.

Sounds like I have a new excuse to go back.
