Fall River City Council Member Resigns
Fall River City Councilor Paul DaSilva has resigned.
DaSilva submitted his letter of resignation to City Clerk Allison Bouchard on Tuesday.
The letter reads, "This is to inform you that I, Paul G. DaSilva, am resigning as City Councilor for the City of Fall River effective immediately."
Dasilva’s resignation comes after a special prosecutor’s report regarding a criminal investigation into recently recalled mayor Will Flanagan.
The report determined that DaSilva was involved in an incident where Flanagan allegedly displayed a gun during a late-night meeting with City Councilor Jasiel Correia II.
