Fall River Native Chay Nehra’s Love Island Journey Comes to an End

SPOILER ALERT: Just days after making his national television debut, Fall River native Chay Nehra's time on Love Island USA has officially come to an end.

Nehra, who attended Diman Regional Technical Vocational High School before moving to San Diego, entered the villa during the show's annual Casa Amor twist. The 27-year-old was introduced by Peacock as one of 12 new contestants hoping to turn heads and shake up existing couples. Can you say scandalous?

Unfortunately, his stay in Fiji was a short one. According to Peacock, Nehra was one of six Casa Amor Islanders dumped following Episode 21 after none of the original female Islanders chose to couple up with him, leaving him single and automatically eliminated from the competition.

A Short Stay in the Villa

Chay was eliminated alongside Ronnie Gunter, Corey Sawyer Jr., Sherleaz "Sydney" Eugene and Amora "Amora Cachee" Robinson. For those unfamiliar with the show, the "twist" is designed to test existing relationships by introducing a new group of single people, but only those who form a connection survive to remain in the villa.

Peacock also noted that viewers were later given the opportunity to vote one eliminated Casa Amor man and one eliminated Casa Amor woman back into the competition. While Carl Schmidt earned enough votes to return, Chay's Love Island journey officially came to an end. Tough luck, buddy.

Fall River Had Someone to Cheer For

Although his appearance lasted only a handful of episodes, Nehra still gave Fall River and the SouthCoast a hometown contestant to root for on one of television's most popular reality shows.

Despite the overall fate of Nehra, something tells me he's going to do just fine outside of Love Island.
