Fall River Rotary Club Bingo Night Draws Crowd, Raises Thousands

“BINGO!”

It was the sound of a packed room celebrating all night at the Rotary Club of Fall River’s Bingo Bash, and by the end of it, that energy turned into something even bigger: $35,000 raised to support the local community.

It’s one thing to have a great night out, It’s another thing to have a great night out and make a real difference while doing it. That’s exactly what happened at White’s of Westport, where this year’s Bingo Bash once again proved why it’s quickly becoming one of the SouthCoast’s most talked-about events.

A Packed Room and Electric Energy

From the moment doors opened, the vibe inside White’s was undeniable.

Music pumping, people dancing, prizes stacking up, and plenty of loud, proud “BINGO!” calls echoing throughout the night.

What started as a classic game quickly turned into something much bigger.

Fun With a Purpose

For Fall River Rotary Club member and former president Jenny Mello Reis, that’s exactly what makes this night so special.

“I always say it’s the best night of the year, because you have fun doing good,” she said. “The committee members, the Rotarians, the sponsors, and everybody who came together is truly doing so much in the community.”

That impact stretches far beyond one night.

The funds raised help provide scholarships to local high school seniors and support non-profits across the Greater Fall River area, with organizations applying for grants that are then awarded by the Rotary Club.

“They apply for grants and then we award grants,” Reis said. “The purpose of the grant is to support the local community.”

Already Looking Ahead to Next Year

After a night like this, the question isn’t if it’s coming back, it’s how fast tickets will go next time.

“We are 1,000 percent doing it again next year,” Reis said.
