Fall River And Foxwoods Team Up On Casino Proposal

An economic engine for the region.  That's how Fall River officials describe a resort casino proposal announced Tuesday by Mayor Wil Flanagan and Foxwoods.  The casino will create 2,000 construction jobs and up to 5,000 permanent jobs.  Foxwoods C-E-O Scott Butera is excited about coming to Southeastern Mass.....

Union leaders attended the announcement at Fall River's Government Center.  Timothy Byrne with Local 51 Plumbers and Pipefitters tells WBSM News, the project will mean a lot for Fall River....

The Mayor has named an oversight task force to come up with a site.  He's hoping to have shovels in the ground next year.
