A Fairhaven Police Department cruiser was involved in a motor vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 2 p.m., the cruiser and a 1997 grey Honda CRV were involved in a low-speed crash at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Center Street, according to department spokesman Lt. Kevin Kobza. The cruiser sustained damage on the passenger side door, and the CRV, occupied by two adults and a young child, sustained damage to the front end of the vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The officer and all three passengers in the Honda were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital. No serious injuries were reported.

No further details were released. The department said the incident remains under investigation.
