There’s something about Fairhaven parking lots that is downright bizarre.

As someone who’s up bright and early Monday through Friday (usually first on the scene at the Fun 107 studio), I’ve seen my fair share of strange things left behind. Trust me, it's not your everyday litter.

It all started back in April 2018, when I pulled into the parking lot and found a full cake sitting in a parking spot, one slice mysteriously missing. No note, no explanation, just a lonely cake left to fend for itself.

Fast-forward to just a month ago on March 13, when an industrial-sized bottle of Vaseline was abandoned outside of an "adult" store nearby.

As if that wasn’t questionable enough, just up the street in the Fairhaven Walmart parking lot, there were not one, but two visibly used toilet seat covers tossed aside like yesterday's news.

Gross.

These aren’t your typical coffee cups or fast-food wrappers. These are strange, head-scratching items that feel more like the start of a mystery novel than simple litter.

And the streak continues.

This morning, as I pulled into work, there it was: a random pillow just sitting outside of The 99. Sure, maybe it fell out of someone’s car, but at this point, the pattern is too funny to ignore.

Between the cake, the Vaseline, the toilet seats and now the rogue pillow, one thing’s for sure: Fairhaven parking lots never fail to entertain. Just maybe don't touch anything.

It's Illegal to Spark a Bonfire in These 22 Massachusetts Communities

There's nothing better than lighting up a nice bonfire on a warm summer night. But depending on where you live in Massachusetts, it actually could be illegal to do just that. Naturally, there are exceptions to every rule, and bonfires being used for outdoor cooking are allowed, but exceptions aside, 22 cities and towns across the Bay State have prohibited open burning year-round because they're just too densely-built and populated for burning to be considered safe. Is your community on the list?
