Fairhaven Man Arrested in New Bedford for Alleged Gun Threats
NEW BEDFORD — A Fairhaven man is arrested in New Bedford for allegedly threatening people with a firearm.
New Bedford Police received reports shortly before 12:30 a.m. Friday of a man threatening several people with what appeared to be a gun at 33 Holly Street.
Police responded to the scene and arrested the man, Jermaine Bryant Graham, 35, of 35 Sconticut Neck Road, Fairhaven.
Upon closer inspection, the suspected weapon was determined to be a pellet gun.
Graham is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and threatening to commit a crime. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The arrest was made at 12:25 a.m. Friday.
Graham has an extensive criminal record which includes 38 adult arraignments and 16 convictions for offenses such as home invasion, armed robbery, mayhem, dealing marijuana, threats and breaking and entering. Graham is currently on probation in Bristol County Superior Court.
Kessy Torres, 19, of 437 Cedar Grove St. Apt. 3E, New Bedford, was also arrested on four warrants as part of the investigation.
