As the weather gets warmer and you start begging your kids to turn off the screens and get outside to play, keep this bike track in mind.

The Fairhaven BMX Pump Track is open seasonally, typically May through November. The hours are set by the Department of Public Works and are park hours from dawn to dusk. It is free to the public and open to people of all ages and abilities.

They'll be working to get the track up and running for the season with a weekend of work to be done on the site. They'd love to see the community come out and help prep the track for the best summer ever.

The track is 100% maintained and funded by volunteers. We are hoping to develop a community effort in the maintenance and ask that if you want to ride, help us dig.

If you plan to use the track (young and old), we'd love to have you help out. This is a community effort, for sure. Please bring shovels and rakes if you have them. - Fairhaven BMX Pump Track

The work days will take place on Saturday, April 13 from 9 am to 3 pm and Sunday, April 14 from 9 am to 12 noon.

It will take a few weekends to get it right, and hopefully the weather cooperates, but once the track's in good shape, they will announce an official opening for the season.
The track is located on Bernese Street in Fairhaven.
