It's over.

I've been considerate. I've been patient. I've gone out of my way to respect the lawn chairs, traffic cones, and coffee tables that have served as space-savers for shoveled out parking spots.

I'm here to announce I'm done.

Look outside. How much snow do you see? Not that much. When's the last time you shoveled? It's been a while, hasn't it?

In Boston, residents can use space-savers up to 48 hours after the most recent snow stops falling. Here in New Bedford, we're going on several weeks since our most recent significant snowfall. It's a little bit ridiculous to continue to hold on to a spot that you don't have any ownership of.

So fair warning to all of you parking spot hoarders! I'm henceforth declaring your space-savers as null and void.
