Early Morning Shooting Reported in Fall River

FALL RIVER — An 18-year-old male is in stable condition following an alleged shooting in Fall River early Monday morning.

According to the Herald News, police received multiple calls from local residents in the 500-block of North Main Street who heard a loud bang.

Police responded around 12:40 a.m. Monday morning, where the victim said he was walking up his driveway toward the entrance of the home where he was shot in the leg.

The victim was later transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspects have been identified at this time as the Major Crimes Division Crime Scene Unit continues to investigate.
