Dunkin’ and Starbucks Launching Pumpkin Spice Season
With the Fourth of July fireworks barely a memory and the dog days of August staring us straight in the face, folks on the SouthCoast can take solace in knowing that pumpkin spice season is right around the corner.
It's true.
With modern-day marketing, you can never be too early to roll out the next big thing. You snooze, you lose. These days, the seasons change more rapidly than you can tear the pages from your calendar.
Halloween costumes and Christmas trees will be in the retail shops before long.
Lest we forget, before the ghouls and witches can fly and the angel is planted firmly atop the Christmas tree, there is another, more recent right of passage that must occur: pumpkin spice season.
Pumpkin spice season is when everything from Cheerios, Goldfish, Twinkies, cookies, cakes and even Spam goes pumpkin spice.
Get ready, SouthCoast peeps. At long last, pumpkin spice season is about to make a grand (or is that grande) re-emergence.
TotallyTheBomb.com says Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte will return on August 29 this year, a day earlier than last year.
The pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove concoction so many crave is a diet-buster. The site says, "A Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte with 2% milk and whipped cream has approximately 390 calories." View the calorie count for all sizes here.
BestCoffeeRecipies.com says Dunkin' is expected to launch pumpkin spice season in mid-August, as it has since 2021. In addition to the Signature Pumpkin Spice Latte, the site says Dunkin' is expected to offer Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Nutty Pumpkin Coffee among other seasonal treats.
According to last year's Dunkin' nutrition guide, a small Signature Pumpkin Spice Latte with whole milk has 300 calories.
Pumpkin up, SouthCoast. After all, it's practically fall.
