The 3rd annual "Fill the Bus" toy drive collected dozens of toys for needy girls and boys this Christmas season. The Tremblay's bus was parked at the Shawmut Diner Friday, with folks stopping by all day to donate toys for the cause.

Organizer Jerry Pinto tells WBSM News every item donated goes a long way to helping somebody out.

Alan Duarte dropped by with several toys, and says he felt compelled to donate.

The toy drive was sponsored by Safe Zones, Neighborhoods United, the Shawmut Diner, and Tremblay's Bus Company.

The toys will be distributed by local neighborhood organizations and the New Bedford school system.
