Many Americans are getting weary of the false narrative that somehow black males are being butchered for no reason by a bunch of yahoo cops.

The media, the politicians and a handful of radicals will have you believe that young, black men are being gunned down in the streets by out of control white policemen.  The facts tell a very different story. The media stokes the fear and distrust, the politicians feed off of it and it's all to the benefit of the radicals who use our well intentioned young people as a cover to advance their divisive, often violent  agenda. The Washington Post conducted a thorough investigation and what it learned might surprise those who buy into the myth of a wholesale slaughter of black youth by police.

The Post study revealed that between January 1, 2015 and July 10, 2016 there were 1,502 shooting deaths by on duty police officers coast to coast. 732 of them were whites, 381 were black and 382 were described as "other" or unknown. Fewer than four percent of those killed were unarmed black men.  The numbers simply do not make the case that young, black men are being gunned down in the streets by white police officers yet no one does much to correct the record..

The real crisis is in Chicago where young, black men continue to be gunned down at an alarming rate but, no one wants to talk about it. There were 468 murders in Chicago last year.  75 percent of the victims were black.  71 percent of the shooters were also black. There were 29 hundred shootings in Chicago last year, a 13 percent increase over the year before.  So far this year there have been 2,054. In Chicago someone is shot every 2.8 hours according to police records.  That is a crisis.  Where is the outrage? Our inner cities, particularly Chicago have become killing fields.

So, they tell us that black lives matter.  I guess they do to those looking to score political points.  But, in Chicago the killing continues and no one seems to care about it. Why not?  The politicians are silent. The media is absent and the radicals could care less. I guess black lives really don't matter to these people all that much.
