Disturbance at GNB Voc-Tech High School Under Investigation
New Bedford Police responded to what they describe as a disturbance Friday night in the parking lot at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational-Technical High School, following a basketball game at the school.
According to a police department spokesperson, the parking lot was cleared out and no arrests were made.
Superintendent-Director Michael Watson tells WBSM News, he was made aware of the incident on Saturday. He says the school is conducting its own investigation, and he is unaware of any injuries and doesn't know how many students were involved.
Watson said school security personnel are working to identify any Voc-Tech students who may have been involved and those students would be identified and dealt with appropriately and swiftly.
The incident remains under investigation, and Police say criminal charges are possible.
