School officials at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School will be looking once again to the state for assistance in expanding their school building.

According to The Herald News, the School Committee gave Diman officials the go-ahead to submit a statement of interest to the Massachusetts School Building Authority last week.

Diman, which is located on Stonehaven Road in Fall River, is nearing its 50 anniversary, but it is still in good shape.

However, the school was originally built for 790 students, but now Diman enrolls around 1,400 students.

This would be the sixth year in a row that Diman officials have sought funds to expand their building.
