Dever School Fire

Taunton Fire officials battled a large fire at a complex on Bay Street Early Friday morning. The fire broke out around 2:30 am at one of the vacant buildings at the site of the old Dever State School for students with special needs. Witnesses say there were explosions coming from the building around 3 am. Fire investigators have ruled the fire an arson because there was no power to the building and there have been at least three other suspicious fires there over the last five years.
