DEA Teams with Westport Police to Arrest Drug Suspect
Agents from the New Bedford DEA Office teamed with Westport Police on Friday to arrest a Westport man known to police as a heroin and cocaine distributor.
Authorities carried out a search warrant at 118 Sodom Road, arresting the target of the investigation, 32-year old Joshua Rapoza.
Police say they found a bag of crack cocaine in his possession, along with $3,000 in cash.
Police then searched Rapoza's residence, recovering 350 bags of fentanyl and assorted prescription drugs.
Detective Sgt. Christopher Dunn says the fentanyl has an estimated street value of $5,000.
Rapoza is being charged with trafficking fentanyl more than 10 grams, and three counts of drug possession. Its the fourth time Rapoza has been arrested since 2017.
