De Terra Declared Winner In Fairhaven Recount

The winner of the Board of Health recount in Fairhaven is incumbant Peter De Terra. 

The Board of Election Registrars certified the results Wednesday night, with De Terra winning by one vote.

The action followed two hours of discussion about Fairhaven's election day procedures.

Challenger John Wethington had been declared the winner on election night.

His attorney, Ann Denardis, wants to talk to Wethington before deciding whether to challenge the outcome in court, but she believes there's plenty of grounds for that legal challenge.

De Terra's attorney, John Markey Jr., is applauding the Registrars.

Markey said he feels comfortable that the voters have spoken, and De Terra is the winner.
