Freaky Face in Rotting Massachusetts Tree Stump Can’t Be a Good Sign

On Sundays, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our parents.

Last time, we were invited over for a small outdoor fire at the in-laws' place and the weather couldn't have been better. The sun was shining and the temperature was tolerable for winter.

Close to the fire pit, I noticed an old, rotting, upturned tree stump. The roots were still attached and there were clumps of clay, mud, and chunks of rock at the base. From a distance, it looked like an ordinary stump that was flipped on its side. Once I got closer, my imagination went wild.

That's when I noticed a face emerging from one of the roots that stuck up from the ground. At first glance, it looked like an anteater or perhaps a warthog, but at a different angle, I noticed something spookier: a werewolf.

This photo has not been doctored nor was the stump altered in any way besides being dumped where it stood. Usually, I'm pretty good at making something out of nothing (especially when it comes to cloud shapes), but the rest of the family saw the face immediately and I knew right then I wasn't just seeing things.

Do you see this demonic figure popping out of the stump or am I losing my marbles?
