DARTMOUTH — Police in Dartmouth are asking for help from the public in identifying a shoplifting suspect who is believed to have taken pet supplies from a local store.

Police posted a surveillance video image of the woman to Facebook in a Thursday night post.

They wrote that the female suspect allegedly "stole a couple hundred dollars worth of pet supplies" from a shop in town.

In its typical tongue-in-cheek style, the department wrote, "we are getting so doggone sick of chasing around shoplifters," adding that they're looking for information to "help us cage her up."

Police also pointed out the woman's "huge shoulder tattoo" as a unique identifying feature.

In the still surveillance image, she can be seen wearing a dark zip top and blue pants with black shoes.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the incident is asked to contact Dartmouth police, message the Facebook page, or call Detective Kyle Costa at 508-910-1755.
