DARTMOUTH —A purse snatching suspect has been identified, and has been roasted by the Dartmouth Police Department on its Facebook page.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old homeless man Cody Toolis, is still at large.

Saturday night, Dartmouth Police posted photos on Facebook and sent out a release asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted for snatching a woman’s purse Thursday night at Shaw’s. He was described as wearing a dark colored hooded zip-up sweatshirt, dark colored sweatpants, a black winter hat, white sneakers and was wearing glasses with a black or brown frame.

Late Sunday morning, Dartmouth Police again posted that through the internet and emails shared with New Bedford Police, the suspect was identified as Toolis.

“I find it a bit ironic that he has the word ‘tool’ built into his name,” it said in the post.

Toolis already has two other active warrants out for his arrest.

Anyone with information on Toolis’ whereabouts should contact their local police department.
