A Fall River man was arrested by Dartmouth Police Friday and charged with trafficking oxycodone following a shoplifting incident.

According to Dartmouth Police, officers responded to Walmart at about 1:15 p.m. on November 26 for a shoplifting complaint.

Police said that during the investigation, Officer Craig Cote observed one of the alleged shoplifters – Daniel Tavares, 35, of Fall River – throw something behind some vending machines.
