On Sunday shortly before 6 p.m., Dartmouth Police say they received a call from someone who spotted a vehicle that had been stolen earlier in the day from a residence in Dartmouth.

Officer Timothy Riley responded to the Dartmouth Towne Center shopping mall where he located both the vehicle and the witness. Riley was told that two alleged suspects fled toward a nearby TJ Maxx store, according to a press release from the Dartmouth Police Department.

Police say that upon the arrival of additional officers, the area was searched and the two suspects were taken into custody.

Dartmouth Police arrested Jacqueline Morris, 36, of New Bedford and charged her with two counts of leaving the scene of a crash, larceny of a motor vehicle, and operating with a suspended license. Steven Vieira, 42, of Charlestown, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.
