To honor the price our war veterans paid for our freedom, and to pay tribute to these selfless men and women, please join us for the Fourth Annual War Veterans Tribute Cruise-In on Sunday, September 29 at the R.I. Vet's Home on Rt. 136 in Bristol, Rhode Island. Admission to the general public is free.

After nearly a four-year hiatus, this very popular event is back and it will be better than ever. Well over a dozen different car clubs will be there, including our local Cuz's Car Club, Downshifters of New England, Eastern Mass Corvette Club and MA Corvette Club, with Bob Brammel and Joe Costa. John Remedis, aka Johnny Angel, and Doug Botelho will be there to provide musical tributes and memories. A new addition to this year's event will be live country music.

The R.I. Vet's Home in Bristol, R.I. is the new and beautiful residence of that state's Greatest Generation. There are currently vets from WW II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War residing there. Many of the veterans of the various wars never made it back home, hence the theme, All Gave Some, Some Gave All. This event is one of the largest, and it's in memory and in honor of all the brave men and women who've served this country.

At the last event, over 400 vehicles were in attendance, and with your help, this year's event will be even bigger. A select group of vets will be doing the judging, and any vehicle (bikes excluded) has a chance to be chosen. There'll be a big display of antique military vehicles, and vintage fire apparatus, along with an area dedicated to those who wish to display their motorcycles. All the proceeds will be used to enhance the living experience of the veterans the home.

At the close of the event, there will be a parade where some of the vets with mobility challenges will review the vehicles, as they depart the grounds. Register your antique vehicle between 9 a.m. and noon, with awards at 3 p.m. For more information call Jerry at (508) 761-8020. We hope to see you this Sunday at the War Veterans Tribute Cruise-In.
