NEW BEDFORD - Cocaine and ammunition have been taken off the streets after the New Bedford Police Department's Narcotics Unit searches a Davis Street apartment.

Officers carried out a search warrant at the apartment Wednesday night, finding cocaine, 48 rounds of ammunition, and $3,505 in cash.

Police arrested the occupant of the apartment, 24-year-old Rahquan Bailey, who faces charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (subsequent offense), and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Bailey was convicted in 2016 of possession to distribute cocaine.
