Clark Wins Massachusetts Special House Election

Democratic State Senator Katherine Clark will take the Massachusetts congressional seat formerly held by Democrat Ed Markey. Clark easily defeated Republican attorney Frank Addivinola in a special election to win the seat Markey gave up after he was elected to replace John Kerry in the U.S. Senate. The 50-year-old Clark will become the fifth woman to represent Massachusetts in the House of Representatives.
