Who is ready for all things holly and jolly? I know I am, and luckily, my holiday events calendar is already beginning to fill up. First up on my list is the “Christmas in Fall River with Sons of Serendip” on Saturday, December 19.

We will get a chance to enjoy the incredible harmonies of Sons of Serendip from the comfort of our living rooms while we dive headfirst into the Christmas spirit. According to a press release, the group will be recording a performance for Fall River residents from the Narrows Center for the Arts for our holiday viewing pleasure, available on the CW Providence at 8 p.m.

“Serendipity” brought them together when they joined forces on a whim in 2014 after meeting at Boston University when they decided to try out for Season 9 of America’s Got Talent, where they made it to the finals and later returned for America’s Got Talent, The Champions. The group’s website reads “they hope that their music will resonate deeply with listeners and that, in some way, it will make their lives a little better- even if just for a moment.”

Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan is delighted to bring this experience to Fall River, saying, “The old fashioned Christmas special on the CW is a great opportunity for Fall River to acknowledge its history and show thousands of households across Southern New England what Fall River has to offer."

The harmonies and melodies of Sons of Serendip will be the perfect way for my family to get into the holiday spirit. Nothing says Christmas like a good, old fashioned sing-along.

Enjoy Sons of Serendip on Saturday, December 19 at 8 p.m. on the CW Providence.
