The City Council is demanding answers from the School Committee.
During Thursday night's meeting, the Council spent most of their time discussing the need for better communication with the School Administration.

Concerns revolved around busing issues, lack of full time teachers, and over-crowded classrooms.

Ward Five Councilor Kerry Winterson is concerned with the student to teacher ratio in some kindergartens.

Another concern to the councilors were the issues with the new school bus routes that left many students without a ride to school. Some councilors are working with the School Transportation Manager to sort out those issues.

Also included in the discussions was the need for panic buttons in schools across the city.

Councilors made it clear they prefer to stay out of School Committee matters, but acknowledges some of these issues have become public safety issues.
