Town elections in Acushnet and Fairhaven are over.

In Acushnet, incumbent selectman Michael Cioper was unseated by challenger David Desroches. Desroches received 670 votes to Cioper's 443. Just over 1,117 of Acushnet's 7,372 registered voters cast ballots Monday, about a 15% turnout.

Selectman Daniel Freitas won his re-election bid in Fairhaven, defeating challenger Lisa Plante for the three-year term. Freitas received 738 votes to Plante's 390. The entire turnout in Fairhaven's election was not immediately available.
