It's a conversation that comes up every year just after Halloween: when should we decorate for Christmas?

I admit, I've been a stickler in the past, waiting until after Thanksgiving to start decking the halls and trimming the tree. It was tradition to have the holiday meal, a turkey sandwich later and cap off the night with a viewing of Home Alone, officially welcoming the Christmas season.

However, over the years and now especially with kids, I find myself wanting to decorate earlier. Is that so wrong?
