Cape Verdean Parade Not To Be Forgotten
America wasn't the only nation celebrating its Independence this weekend. The 42nd Cape Verdean Recognition Day Parade was held Saturday morning to recognize the nation's Independence gained in 1975.
The procession included floats, marching bands, local elected officials, youth groups, and much, much more.
Henry DeGrace has a number of reasons to take part in the celebration...
This year's parade honored the Cape Verdean officers that served on the Charles W. Morgan.
The parade concluded with a street party at the Cape Verdean Veterans Memorial Hall on Purchase St. The festivities there included Cape Verdean food and music.
