BOSTON - A Cape Cod drug distributor who got his heroin from New Bedford has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 27-year-old Christian Chapman of Hyannis pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin and money laundering. Chapman is scheduled to be sentenced in July.

Court documents say in October of 2015, a wiretap investigation revealed Chapman obtained heroin from New Bedford and other suppliers, and distribute the heroin to numerous drug dealers on Cape Cod. During the investigation, Chapman had distributed 400 to 700 grams of heroin.

Chapman could face up to 40 years in prison and fines as much as $5 million.
