Building #19 Cat Finds New Home

You won't find his name on the payroll, but a Building #19 "employee" is going to a good home now that the chain is closing.

Tom the cat has lived in the store's break-room for the past ten years, roaming the store at night, and keeping other employees company.

Supervisor Joann Costa tells WBSM News an employee brought the kitten to the store ten years ago, unable to take care of him.

A Facebook posting to adopt Tom attracted hundreds of inquiries, and Joann says Tom is now staying with an elderly couple in their Westport home.

Building #19 declared bankruptcy earlier this month, with stores set to close the second week of December.
