Bristol DA’s Office Investigating Death at New Bedford Hotel

NEW BEDFORD - The Bristol County District Attorney's Office is investigating a possible fatal overdose in a New Bedford hotel.

New Bedford Police logs indicate police responded to a sudden death just before 1 p.m. Thursday at the Fairfield Inn & Suites on MacArthur Drive. The death was labeled as a possible drug overdose.

The case was turned over to the District Attorney's Office. Toxicology results on the body are pending.

It's not known if the death occurred inside a hotel room or elsewhere on the property.
